Greetings, MDLF Network!

I’m Lauren (Petersen) James and It’s an honor to introduce myself as the Executive Director of the Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation, a role where I’m committed to making a people and place-impact by enabling Hoosier leaders to drive change. I’m compelled by our organization’s purposeful mission to develop a statewide network of change agents who are actively working to make Indiana the best place to build a future.

It was five years ago when I was selected as an inaugural MDLF Fellow and I distinctly remember the moment our organization’s namesake instilled in us: “Our state is poised to be better because of leaders like you.” This is my WHY.

I said yes to this opportunity because of the direct investment in our state’s most critical asset - our leaders. I’m a product of the Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation Fellowship, I believe in its purpose and I see the potential in our impact and reach.
