Sarah Hammond

Director - Business Advisory Group, Katz, Sapper, & Miller

We’re excited to welcome Sarah to MDLF! Sarah is a Director at Katz, Sapper, & Miller and lives in Westfield.

About Sarah:

I’m a homegrown Hoosier who never intends to leave. I grew-up on a farm in Kokomo, attended Manchester College in the middle of cornfields, and now reside in Westfield with my husband, Derek, and two boys, Harvey (4) and Fitz (2).

I’m a Director at Katz, Sapper & Miller, the largest regional public accounting firm in the state. Joining KSM was an easy decision out of college, and I’ve been with the firm ever since. I specialize in federal and multistate tax compliance and consulting for businesses and their owners, along with providing general business and accounting advisory services. I serve clients in a multitude of industries, with an emphasis on those in manufacturing, distribution, and technology.

When I’m not working, I’m spending time with family and friends, working out, or tackling the latest DIY house project.

What's your vision for Indiana? How does this relate to your decision to join the program?

My vision for Indiana is to not only be “on the map” as having great job opportunities with a low cost of living, but I want Indiana to be THE state that attracts and retains the top talent and business owners. Indiana has the foundation; we just need to build on that platform and expand our reach. I joined MDLF to educate myself about other areas within the state that I’m less familiar with, in hopes of uniting with fellow enthusiastic leaders to help drive change and propel our state to the next level. We have so much to offer, and it's organizations like MDLF that show our state is committed to growth and invested in our future.

What's your favorite quote?

“… if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20
